Failure to follow the Range Rules will result in the loss of your range privileges and disciplinary action by the Board of Directors. Please clean up after yourself, and your guests, if you use the bathroom and/or kitchen. This is your Club and your Range. Use it with consideration and care for the safety of others and yourself at all times. (last revision date 1/20)
GENERAL RULES
The Club Range is available to all members, 24 hours each day, 7 days each week, except during scheduled shooting and other events. See the “Events Calendar” posted in the Meeting Room or on the website.
Members are required to indicate their use of the Range by printing their name on the Sign-In Sheet posted at the Range entrance.
Members are required to sign-in all guests accompanying them to the range on the Guest Sign-In sheets.
All visitors (adults and/or children) are the responsibility of the member whom they accompany to the range.
Members are limited to one guest if member is shooting, two guests if member is not shooting. Having unsupervised guests at the firing line is not acceptable.
It is required that EYE and EAR protection is worn while in the shooting area.
The Board of Directors (BOD) has designated the facility as a NON-SMOKING environment.
No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the premises.
Report any and all damage or difficulties to the Facilities Director, Club Officer or BOD Member or on the Sign-In Sheet.
Members are not allowed to use the Club for any purpose other than recreational or club-sanctioned competitive shooting. No member of the media will be admitted into the club without the consent of the BOD. Using the club to support a private business (gun dealer, teaching concealed weapons classes, etc...) is also strictly prohibited unless sanctioned by the BOD. Failure to comply can result in your dismissal.
11.Members shall not loan key cards to anyone.
RANGE AND
SAFETY RULES
ALWAYS keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
ALWAYS keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.
The use of Empty Chamber Indicators (ECI’s) is mandatory inside the club. ECI’s must be employed from the time the firearm is uncased until they are safely secured and ready to be transported away from the range, except while shooting.
When 2 or more shooters are present, keep an eye out for unsafe practices. If observed, please speak up. Remember EVERYONE is a safety officer.
All Range doors must be closed while shooting.
When not shooting always keep the action open and firearms unloaded with ECI in place.
Do not handle any firearm while someone is down range. All firearms must be open, clear and ECI in place when anyone is downrange.
All shooting is to be done at the firing line only. Absolutely no shooting is permitted in front of the firing line.
No cross firing between shooting lanes. Shooting is only permitted in their designated, numbered lane.
No drawing from holsters, waistbands, etc. or other quick draw shooting activities.
All pistol firing from a standing position - targets must be set NO CLOSER than 25 feet from firing line within designated shooting lane.
All rifle and sitting position shooting (including pistols) - targets must be set at the maximum distance of 50 feet within designated shooting lane.
Only paper targets may be used. If your target does not fit within the orange frame, next to the door inside the range, then it must be positioned at the maximum distance of 50 feet.
Do not dispose of used targets, not purchased from the Club, in our trash cans or recycle boxes.
You are responsible for sweeping the lane you were shooting on.
All brass not taken home must be placed in the sifter screen, not directly into the waste container.
18. Shooting from the hip, “gangster-style” shooting, and all other non-aimed shooting styles are not allowed.
FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION
Rifles can only be 22 long rifle or 22 magnum. 17 caliber rimfire are not allowed. No centerfire rifles may be fired at any time.
No pistols chambered for rifle calibers except 22 long rifle and 22 Magnum may be used. 17 caliber rimfire pistols are not allowed. Pistols built on or based on rifle actions (ex. AR pistols, AK pistols, MP5, etc.) are not permitted on the range.
No fully automatic weapons may be fired at any time.
No armor piercing or exploding bullets may be used. Jacketed bullets are acceptable as well as lead bullets.
Acceptable Pistol Calibers: 22 rimfire, 22 Magnum rimfire, 25 Auto, 32 ACP, 32 S&W, 32 S&W Long, 32 H&R Magnum, 327 Federal Magnum, 380 ACP, 38 S&W, 38 Spl, 357 Magnum, 357 SIG, 10mm, 38 Super, 9 mm, 38/40 Winchester, 40 S&W, 41 Magnum, 44 Spl, 44/40 Winchester, 44 Magnum, 45 Auto (ACP), 45 GAP, 45 Auto Rim, 45 “Long” Colt. No other types of rounds are to be fired in the range.
All magnum-caliber loads are to be confined to lanes #1 and #10. Magnum-caliber shooting are not to be fired in any other lanes.
No shotguns or shotgun pistols may be used in the range at any time.
No black powder rifles or pistols may be fired in the range.
No BB Guns are allowed to be fired within the range.
Pellet rifles and pellet pistols may be fired in the range.
